Dr. Dale Piper worked in community mental health, as well as working in the developmental disabilities field for a number of years. He was in private practice for 15 years before he began a full-time faculty position.  During his time in private practice, he specialized in working with children and families. His professional interests have included the application of neuroscience to understand and treat behavior problems in children, as well as work in teaching, supervision and training of counseling students. He is a licensed psychologist (# 2558) in the State of Colorado.

Dr. Piper has been on the faculty of Colorado Christian University in the Masters of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program since August, 2009. He took the position of  MAC Program Director at CCU in January 2012, and continues to provide faculty supervision for students, as well as teaching graduate classes in the program. He is a professional member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Colorado Counseling Association (CCA). Dr. Piper also serves as the current president (2012-2013) of CCA.
