Biography and Professional Achievements

As a High School student Dr. Kevin Turner's life was changed because of the youth ministry of a local church. Since then his life has focused on the process of developing effective youth ministry models and practices. Youth ministry, when properly understood, is a missional focused application of Practical Theology targeted toward adolescent culture. Through staff positions in church youth ministry, para-church organizations, Christian camping and, since 2000, as a professor of Youth Ministry and Theology at Colorado Christian University, it has been Turner's life focus to deepen the theological reflection and create more reflective approaches to all aspects of youth ministry and Practical Theology.
