Biography and Professional Achievements

Dr. Leontine Galante received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Princeton University in 2007 and has since done three years of post-doctoral research in the areas of tumor metastasis and angiogenesis in a mouse model system. She then left the research lab to pursue her greater interest in teaching and advising students. For three years, Galante taught biotechnology students at Portland Community College. During this time, she also advised students in pre-professional tracks and developed curriculum for the cell biology laboratory. She then spent one year at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she taught biology majors and served as an advisor for these students.
