Biography and Professional Achievements

As the Dean of Business and Technology, Dr. Mellani Day provides spiritual, academic, and business leadership for academic programs, faculty, and students in the Business and Technology Division of the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. She also directs and administers the MBA program and provides operational leadership in the areas of faculty recruiting, program marketing, course scheduling, event planning, and business development.

Prior to joining the University, Day was Chief Financial Officer for Synergy Media Group in Denver, where she was responsible for business development as well as strategic and financial planning to support corporate growth. She has also served as Regional Development Manager for Doctoral Programs at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Florida, and was Chair of Graduate Business Programs at Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany.

In 1989 she founded Day Partners International in Heidelberg, where she was responsible for introducing, marketing, and distributing Orville Redenbacher microwave popcorn products to the German market.

In addition to her business experience, Day has taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses including Principles of Management, Business, Government and the International Economy, International and Comparative Marketing, and Information Technology Applications in Business.
