Professional Accomplishments:

Before coming to CCU, Tamara spent many years in education as a teacher, guidance counselor, assistant principal and principal. Tamara has taught or been an administrator at every grade from K-12. For the last fifteen years, Tamara was a part of Colorado Springs Christian Schools (CSCS), and most recently was the High School Principal. As the administrator, Tamara was the educational leader and worked to mentor all faculty members, including new teachers.

Tamara has worked in both public and private education. Tamara's experiences include working with high achieving and at-risk students. Tamara has been a presenter for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) in Elementary Math methods. She also chaired the CSCS K-12 Curriculum Committee for AdvancEd and ACSI accreditation. During Tamara’s public school experiences, she taught every grade K-8 as a classroom teacher and also spent several years working with at-risk students.

Faith and Learning:

Biblical integration and building Christian worldview are two opportunities afforded educators and students at Colorado Christian University. Preparing young people with a strong academic foundation and the ability to lovingly reach out to a hurting world is a daunting and profound privilege.
