Why CCU?

Since I was five I knew that I wanted to move to Colorado because I loved the mountains and camping. I wanted to experience some Colorado adventures, so I was very excited to move out here. As I was getting closer to graduating from high school, I decided to start looking for schools in Colorado. I was undecided for my major, but the two criteria I had for a college was that it was in Colorado and a Christian school, which is exactly what I typed into Google!

“Colorado Christian University” popped up, and the next thing I knew I was touring CCU’s campus during spring break of my junior year. After that tour, I decided CCU was perfect for me. It was the only school I applied to because I knew that if I was accepted that I was going. Of course I had some hesitations and anxieties about moving so far from home and meeting new people, but after a week of being on campus I felt completely comfortable and excited to be at CCU for the next 4 years. (By the way, one concern I heard a lot about moving from Wisconsin to Colorado is the elevation change and thin air here. I adjusted just fine, and it was only difficult at first!)

I can truthfully say that I have never regretted my decision to be here. Although moving away from home is scary, CCU offers a community of believers that are so loving and willing to help each other in any way possible. I have so much love for this school now because I have grown tremendously in my faith, made an amazing amount of deep friendships, and been presented with so many great opportunities. It’s great to have a family both in Wisconsin and in Colorado.
