Robert L. Woodson
Rising from a background of poverty, community activist Bob Woodson has become one of the nation's foremost experts on helping people escape poverty through empowerment and self-management. After earning his GED while serving in the Air Force, Bob Woodson went on to study mathematics and earn a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for the National Urban League and as a fellow of the American Enterprise Institute. In 1981, Mr. Woodson founded and remains president of the Center for Neighborhood Enterprise (CNE). He has received many prestigious awards including the MacArthur Foundation's Genius Grant. Bob Woodson is a follower of Jesus.
