Our speaker Dick Abel retired from the United States Air Force as a Brigadier General after a career as a pilot, leading the “Warhawk” jet acrobatic team, serving as assistant football coach at the USAF Academy and as Director of Public Affairs for the United States Air Force. General Abel went on to serve as a senior staffer of the U.S. Olympic Committee, President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the head of Campus Crusade’s Military Ministry for 14 years. He is a celebrated author and speaks around the world on family values, military affairs, and moral leadership. General Abel and his wife Ann have four children and 19 grandchildren. They reside in Hampton Roads, VA.
