Michael Novak, a renowned public intellectual, is the George Frederick Jewett Scholar in Religion, Philosophy and Public Policy at the American Enterprise Institute. He served as Chief U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Commission on Human Rights and in other diplomatic posts.
