Student Publications

Veritas

Veritas is the official campus newspaper of Colorado Christian University. This student-run publication reports on the major events around campus as well as on current events throughout the state, country, and the world. The Student Government Association provides funding for the publication, which is published bi-weekly and is distributed to students, faculty, staff, and administration free of charge.

Veritas is written and edited by students under the guidance of a staff advisor. Paid staff positions are available for students who are interested in gaining valuable experience in news, feature, sports, and arts reporting, as well as editorial and commentary writing.

Paragon

Paragon is CCU’s literary magazine that provides students with an outlet for creativity and expression. Under the direction of appointed student editors, this annual publication is comprised of contributions by students of original poetry, short stories, essays, photographs, art work, music scores, and critical reports. Contributions are selected from among presentations in the normal course of class work and from those submitted directly to the editors. Paragon is available at the end of the spring semester, free of charge.

Transparent

Transparent is a monthly publication in conjunction with the CCU chapter of the 10/10 Project. This collective academic outlet allows students, faculty, and guest contributors to create an open dialogue about important global issues in order to promote awareness and understanding. Through the use of high quality academic articles and inspiring photography, this student-led and student-edited publication strives to be a resource for discussion and debate. Transparent also serves as a forum to inform readers about issues that may not be widely known through our current media outlets yet are seriously relevant within our world. Students are encouraged to contribute pieces on issues that are academic in thought, global at heart, and current day in application.
