    Kathy PettitKathy Pettit
    Director of Development and Planned Giving


    Kathy Pettit joined Colorado Christian University on September 2nd 2014, a day joyously highlighted by the dedication of Leprino Hall. She is a Colorado native and a Business Administration graduate of Metropolitan State College in Denver. Her collaborative role is to contribute to team efforts led by the V.P. of Development and advance opportunities with university supporters in the areas of major and planned gifts. Prior to arriving at CCU, Kathy worked in various development areas for Teammates for Kids, St. Anthony’s Hospice Foundation and Winning Spirit. She has been married to Gary for 29 years and their daughter is a sophomore at CCU. As the oldest of nine siblings, Kathy is immensely blessed by the ever-expanding chaos of a large family. She also enjoys running in local 5K, 10K and half-marathons, skiing, home-projects and coffee with friends!


    Char HagemannChar Hagemann
    Director of Development for the Centennial Institute


    Char Hagemann joined Colorado Christian University in January 2016 as Director of Development for the Centennial Institute. Char’s role is bridging major gift fundraising efforts led by the VP of Development with those of Centennial Institute Director, Jeff Hunt. Char came from the University of Nevada (Reno) bringing with her 15+ years of higher education fundraising/major gifts experience. Born in Fort Collins, Char was raised in a conservative military family which was stationed throughout the U.S. She graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, with a degree in Business Administration. Char and husband Kyle Jones have been married for over five years. They are proud parents of Copper, a German wirehaired pointer, and Tessa, a labrador/weimaraner mix. Char feels blessed to be in Colorado closer to family.


    Missy SmithMissy Smith
    Director of Alumni & Parent Relations


    Missy joined Colorado Christian University in October 2009 with the introduction of the Global Enrollment Center for CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies. She transitioned to CCU’s Director of Alumni and Parent Relations in August 2013. As director, Missy will engage in outreach to CCU alumni with campus and regional events, and to parents with the development of a Parent Council and volunteer committee. She also is a member of CCU’s adjunct faculty. Missy has seven years of experience in higher education admissions and marketing, while the other half of her career has been in mental health counseling and administration. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida. Missy grew up in Florida and has resided in Colorado for five years with her two sons.

    Coordinator of Annual Giving and Donor Relations Development


    Stanton joined Colorado Christian University in the fall of 2016. In his role, he is responsible for the coordination of annual giving and donor relations. This encompasses stewardship and broad communication with the alumni and supporters of CCU and its heritage institutions. He is responsible for building broad support for the University, focusing on raising funds for a variety of scholarships and campaigns. Stanton graduated from CCU in 2016. He feels passionate about the mission of CCU. He is grateful to be back at his alma mater. Stanton enjoys spending time with his wife and their cat, Cubby.

    Lisa BurkeLisa Burke
    Database Specialist


    Lisa joined CCU in June of 2016. She is the database specialist for the Office of Development and Alumni & Parent Relations. Lisa has several years of support experience in Christian education. Her career also includes many years of diverse roles within the home center industry. Having lived in numerous cities throughout the country, she is grateful to call the Denver area home. Lisa and her husband, Brian, have been married since 2004 and have a wonderful daughter, Maggie, and rescue dog, Holly.

    Jan OttemanJan Otteman
    Event Planner and Administrative Assistant


    Jan joined CCU in July of 2012. She is the Event Planner for the Office of Development and the Administrative Assistant to Paul Eldridge, the Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations. She brings many years of experience from the airline industry and the retail grocery business. Jan volunteers at a local women’s prison and loves to spread the Good News to those who may not know Jesus! She and her husband Tim have been married for over thirty-five years and have two wonderful adult children.
