Things to Remember

Gear up before you begin the next portion of your climb.

Residence Halls

  • Residence Halls open for campus residents at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 21. Students may not move in earlier.
  • Students living off campus should arrive on campus before 11:00 a.m. to check in and receive a schedule for the weekend.
  • Hotel information is provided on our Web site if you need any accommodations.

Meals/Food

  • Student meal cards will be charged for student meals throughout Weekend of Welcome.
  • With the exception of the Opening Banquet, CCU pays for all of your family members’ meals in the cafeteria through Friday’s dinner.

Life Directions Center (LDC)

  • Transferring credits and have questions?  Want to test out of a class? Wondering about ministry hours, study abroad, or internships? Contact the Life Directions Center at 303-963-3010.

Service Central

  • Did you know that you will need to pay for your first semester at CCU before Monday, August 4? Call Service Central at 303-963-3230 and they can walk you through the process. Service Central helps students with financial aid, student accounts, and registration questions.

Dress

  • Orientation is casual except for the banquet, which is dressy casual (summer dresses, nice shorts and shirts, khaki pants, etc.).

WOW Activities

  • WOW is a very busy time. Activities planned for these four days are an important part of your transition into the CCU community and university life. Students, you will have a blast during this weekend, and parents, your children will be in good hands! We are so excited to have you join the CCU team.

Transportation to CCU

If you need a ride from Denver International Airport (DIA) on Thursday, August 21, CCU can pick you up. Rides will be provided from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, only, so plan to arrive between these hours. Include your flight information on your registration for WOW.  (Registration will be available beginning June 1.) After you have obtained your baggage, proceed to the passenger pickup on the west side of the terminal outside the United Airlines door. A CCU van will be there to greet you.
