CCU Hosts Best-selling Author Joel Rosenberg
In a move to broaden the community presence of Colorado Christian University, the school announced plans to host prominent authors and provide discussion opportunities on their view of the importance of Christian higher education. The first author in the series was Joel Rosenberg, New York Times best-selling author. Mr. Rosenberg was the featured speaker in chapel on September 22. This event is part of Rosenberg's national book tour promoting his third political thriller, "The Ezekiel Option."
Rosenberg's third novel follows his earlier best sellers "The Last Jihad" and its sequel "The Last Days" which caught national media attention for its eerily prophetic words. His knowledge of the Middle East and its centrality in the three major monotheistic religions is keenly evident in his fiction. Rosenberg is also a communications strategist who has worked with leaders around the world, including Steve Forbes, and former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Additional authors will be visiting the CCU campus during this school year as part of this new series. "In addition to the opening of our new School of Theology, this author series, offering a broad range of viewpoints, is another step in our effort to shape evangelical thought through stimulating dialogue," said Dr. Larry Donnithorne, President of CCU.
