Cal Thomas Speaks This Week at the 2007 Values-Aligned Leadership Summit in Denver
On Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Denver's Grand Hyatt Hotel, Colorado Christian University will host its annual Values-Aligned Leadership Summit (VALS). This year's conference is themed "Media, Values, and Leaders" and will feature a keynote address from veteran media figure and political commentator, Cal Thomas. It will be the fifth installment in the University's successful series introduced in 2003.
One of today's most widely read and highly regarded American political voices, Cal Thomas has nearly 40 years of experience in broadcast and print journalism and has authored 10 books. He has received numerous honors for his work, including a nomination for the prestigious CableACE Award for Best Interview Program. Thomas has broadcast with NBC, CNBC, and PBS television, and currently contributes weekly political commentary as a panelist on the Fox News Network show "Fox News Watch." His work also appears regularly in over 600 newspapers nationwide and he hosts a daily radio program that is syndicated to over 300 stations.
Each year VALS conferences unite hundreds of executives with CCU business students for seminars and dialogue on developing industry-wide leadership accountability and ethical decision-making paradigms.
Thomas will share the stage this year with fellow keynote speaker Bill Armstrong, a successful Colorado businessman, former U.S. senator, and current CCU president.
"The University is thrilled to host Cal and Bill as this year's keynote speakers," commented Vice President for University Advancement Ron Rex. "VALS ranks among the most culturally relevant events hosted by CCU, and each year we continue to receive positive response from Denver's businessmen and women who attend."
