Dr. Sarah Scherling came to CCU in 1999 and has served as vice president of Academic Affairs for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS) since 2006. Dr. Scherling oversees CAGS academic programs, faculty development, curriculum development, student learning assessment, accreditation, online state approvals, and scheduling. Before joining CCU, Dr. Scherling was a classroom teacher for preschool and elementary school students. She worked as a reading specialist for middle and high school students.

Dr. Scherling earned her B.S. in child development and family relationships from Colorado State University, her M.Ed. in elementary education with an emphasis in reading from Fort Hays State University, and an Ed.D with an emphasis in teaching and learning from Liberty University. Dr. Scherling and her husband, Doug, live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They have two children.
