William J. White

Trustee Spotlight

Bill White is an officer with Bigelow Asset Management Co., an investment advisor that manages a municipal bond hedge fund in Denver. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Redstone Bank. He is also on the board of Urban Youth Ministries and the Charitable Fund. He has served as President for COMPA Food Ministries and as a board member for Families First.

Bill received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Arizona. After college, he moved to Los Angeles where he became a staff accountant with a local CPA firm.

After serving in the military, Bill moved to Denver and joined a local CPA firm in 1963. He earned an MBA with an emphasis in finance from the University of Colorado and joined Kirchner Moore and Co., a prestigious investment banking firm specializing in municipal bonds. He was a municipal bond trader for the firm until 1976 when he was elected president and CEO, a position he held until Drexel Burnham Lambert acquired Kirchner Moore in the mid-1980s.

Following his 18 years with Kirchner Moore & Co., Bill joined Affiliated Bancshares of Colorado, where he was president of Affiliated Capital Markets. From 1995 until 2000, he served as Chairman of Bigelow White & Co., the holding company for an investment banking firm specializing in municipal and corporate finance.

Bill is a native of Winslow, Arizona. He is an avid golfer, and is a past president of Cherry Hills Country Club. He also enjoys downhill skiing.

Bill and his wife Julie have two grown children. They reside in Glenmoore of Cherry Hills Village and are members of Greenwood Community Church.
