Are you looking to further your career, increase your salary, or simply achieve the goal of getting your master's degree? Whether you've worked in health care, education, business, or another field of employment, Colorado Christian University offers several different master's degrees, certificates, and endorsements that could help you invest in your future!

If you're unsure of how to go about choosing a master's degree program, we're here to help. Here are some tips on how to choose a program:

Acknowledge what field interests you.

When most adult students want to get their master's degree, they have some sort of idea about the field of study they're interested in. Fields like nursing, teaching, and counseling require a passion for making a difference in people's lives. But if you're more interested in the accomplishment of the degree itself and don't know where to start, research the programs offered. CCU offers 11 master's programs, along with multiple post-baccalaureate educator licensing, endorsements, and certificate programs.

Narrow down your program options.

Once you've decided on an area of study, such as education, it's now time to narrow down your interests. Many master's degree programs have special interests. Education, for instance, offers programs in special education, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, and organizational leadership.

Check out each program's curriculum.

If you're still unsure of which specific program to pursue, check out each program's course catalog. There, you can see what courses you would be taking if you enrolled in that program. You can also see if there are any prerequisites before taking that course.

Think about your career goals.

After graduation, what are you looking to do? This is something important to think about before pursuing your degree. A master's degree is specific, takes a lot of dedication and focus, and it's important to acknowledge your goals before moving forward in a program. Research salary and the number of jobs available in the career you're interested in pursuing post-graduation.
