• Services for Students with Special Needs

    CCU's services for students with disabilities provide support services, tools, and reasonable accommodations in accordance with ADA section 504 to enable them to fully participate in the academic environment. CCU will work with students in CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies on an individual basis to:

    • Promote self-advocacy
    • Build a network of resources
    • Create self-awareness in an academic setting

    Determination of Accommodations

    If you are a student who has a documented disability, you must contact the CAGS Student Services Coordinator at 303-963-3161 or CAGSStudentCoordinator@ccu.edu to apply for reasonable accommodations. It is your responsibility to provide all paperwork, including official documentation by a qualified professional. Certificate of Accommodations are evaluated annually by the Student Services Coordinator and renewed accordingly.

    Rights and Responsibilities


    • Provide official documentation to CAGS Student Services Coordinator that supports a need for accommodations.
    • Present Certificate of Accommodations to each professor in a timely manner.
    • Make the necessary arrangements with their professor regarding how and where the accommodations will apply.


    • Provide accommodations as stated on the Certificate of Accommodations.
    • Deny accommodations to students who cannot provide a current Certificate of Accommodations.
    • Support an equal access learning environment by making the necessary arrangements with students regarding how and where their accommodations will apply.
