Act Against COVID-19

We have received many inquiries from alumni, parents, and friends asking how they might help respond to the heavy financial toll the coronavirus pandemic is taking on CCU. Please join us in our Acting Against COVID-19 with Generosity campaign.

Donate to CCU's COVID-19 Relief

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Colorado Christian University has made decisions in recent days that have reflected the desire of our leadership to keep our community safe, while also seeking to honor and sustain the mission of Colorado Christian University. The COVID-19 pandemic has given new perspective to the important work that we do at CCU.

That mission is more important than ever now, as we continue to shape leaders for Kingdom work across a spectrum of vocations, many of them now on the front lines against this pandemic.

The University has received many inquiries from alumni, parents, and friends of CCU asking how they might help respond to the heavy financial toll the coronavirus pandemic is taking on CCU. This rapidly changing situation has placed new and unexpected financial hardship on many of our students, including unexpected expenses and lost income from student-employment.

To address your kind inquiries and to help facilitate a pathway for your generosity, University Advancement has determined to utilize the CCU Fund for such a time as this.

When you support the CCU Fund, 100% of your gift will be put to use immediately to benefit students. As you endeavor to keep yourselves and your loved ones safe, consider making a gift of any size to help bridge the gap for students in need.

Federal Government Charitable Giving Incentive

The recently signed and released Cares Act includes an ‘above-the-line’ deduction (universal or non-itemizer deduction that applies to all taxpayers) for total charitable contributions of up to $300. The incentive applies to contributions made in 2020 and can be claimed on tax forms next year.

The bill also lifts the existing cap on annual contributions for those who itemize, raising it from 60 percent of adjusted gross income to 100 percent. For corporations, the bill raises the annual limit from 10 percent to 25 percent. Food donations from corporations would be available to 25 percent, up from the current 15 percent cap.
