Build Skills for Success in the Workplace

As a student in CCU's College of Undergraduate Studies, working with the Employment and Career Services (ECS) allows you to gain hands-on experience in a professional workplace setting while integrating ECS Principles: Work is Worship, Excellence, and Growth.

The ECS staff will assist you with individualized job placement, career coaching, resume tips, and interview training. Once you get a job through ECS you will have an opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and professional attributes required to be successful in today's workforce. Students also have the chance to offset the cost of tuition and student loans with the extra income since all positions are paid positions. Students also have the option to fulfill elective credits by working.

ECS Student Testimonials

  • Stephanie Thomas — Business Major

"I would not trade my time at CCU for the world. As a student, I had many awesome experiences and made lasting friendships. Most notable, however, was the connection between ECS and my current employer, General Air. I didn't know that this would turn out to be one of the biggest blessings of my life."

  • Graham Delano — Health Sciences Major

"As a scribe you are exposed to aspects of medicine that cannot be experienced in a classroom. Indeed, working as a scribe was an invaluable opportunity that gave me a competitive edge when applying to medical schools. I am grateful to ECS for the opportunity."

  • Matthew Hodgkins — Business Major

"ECS first helped me get a summer internship with a public accounting firm after my junior year. After completing the internship, I informed ECS that I was interested in a new career direction and they supported me every step of the way. They ended up connecting me with the Christian, non-profit organization Samaritan’s Purse."

  • Kelly Robertson — English Major

"Though I had never imagined working in property management, I couldn't be happier that I took that leap. I love coming into work; the people here are phenomenal. I couldn’t have dreamed up a better opportunity!"

  • Megan Hallett — Psychology Major

"The students that Right On Learning seeks to help are usually failing in a particular subject. Our role as tutors is to help them learn the material and instill new confidence that they can be successful in the classroom. It's a transformational process for these students!"

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is...
