DENVER COUNTRY CLUB ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWS-April 5, 2019

Denver Country Club is searching for energetic individuals with a determined work-ethic to fill the role of a lifeguard or camp-counselor. BKD CPA ACCOUNTING LEADERSHIP PROGRAM--May 22-23, 2019

Attention Accounting Students! The 2019 Summer Leadership Program at BKD CPA will be quickly approaching and you don’t want to miss this opportunity! This 2-Day program will lead to internship opportunities for the 2020/2021 school year. As a summer leadership participant, you will have the opportunity to take a closer look at the BKD firm, opportunities, and their people. Participants will gain experience from social interactions with associates through partners, team building activities, a community service project, and overall working toward professional development. Applicants must have a minimum overall and major GPA of 3.0. Contact EMS through the Student Contact Form to learn more and get started with the application process! Applications due 3/24/2019.  What you need to know:

  • A current resume and an unofficial copy of transcripts are required.
  • Additional documents along with a video interview may be requested during the application process.

  • Selected applicants will be notified in April/May 2019.

Successful leadership candidates will display the following skills and characteristics:

  • Solid technical accounting knowledge (it is preferred that applicants will have completed Intermediate Accounting I & II by end of current semester) all accounting students are encouraged to apply.
  • Effective time management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work well with a team as well as independently.
  • Problem-solving attitude.
  • Willingness to take initiative.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Participants will be considered for intern opportunities in 2020/21 as follows: 
    • Mostly Winter/Spring tax or Winter/Spring audit internships.
    • Summer audit internships.
    • Consulting internships are on a case by case scenario.  
  • Ideal candidates will generally have two years of school remaining (typically around 90 credit hours completed by end of Spring 2019 semester). 
  • All accounting students are encouraged to apply. 
  • Minimum overall and major GPA of 3.0 is required.
  • Applicants should be on track to pursue their CPA exam eligibility (150 credit hours).
  • S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status is required for this leadership program along with intern and entry-level positions.
