Matthew Hodgkins
Matthew graduated from CCU in 2019 with a double major in Business Administration and Accounting and with a minor in Management. He was a part of the Samaritan’s Purse Global Internship Program immediately after graduating. Matthew was a Field Finance Intern based in Boone, North Carolina working with the Field Finance Department based at the headquarters, but he also had an opportunity to travel to the Samaritan’s Purse Bolivia office where he worked alongside the Finance Manager and visited project sites in the Andes Mountains. Matthew was part of the first Cohort of the Apprenticeship Program that began training in October of 2019 where he trained in the Operations Track. During the Apprenticeship, Matthew had an opportunity to serve on the 2020 Samaritan’s Purse Italy COVID-19 Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) response in an operations role. After returning from the DART response, Matthew applied for a full-time position in the Samaritan’s Purse South Sudan office and is now serving there as the Procurement & Logistics Coordinator.
Michaela Marcy
Michaela graduated from CCU in May 2020 with degrees in Psychology and Communication. During college, Michaela worked for nonprofits in Denver and Uganda, and she was a communication intern for Samaritan’s Purse in Uganda through the Global Internship Program during the summer of 2019. In July 2020, Michaela moved to Boone, North Carolina to begin the Apprenticeship Program where she is currently training in the Program Management Track. Once she completes her headquarters-based training, she will begin her field assignment in Cambodia in January.
