Dr. Mellani Day

Dean and Professor of Business and Technology

As the Dean of Business and Technology, Dr. Mellani Day provides spiritual, academic, and business leadership for academic programs, faculty, and students in the Business and Technology Division of the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. She also directs and administers the MBA program and provides operational leadership in the areas of faculty recruiting, program marketing, course scheduling, event planning, and business development.


Dr. Megan DeVore

Professor of Church History and Early Christian Studies

With training in Patristic to Medieval Historical Theology and Church History, as well as in art history, philosophy, and Classics, Dr. DeVore teaches a variety of courses in the department of Theology, such as the History of Christianity, Historical Theology I, Canon Formation, Introduction to Philosophy, and Latin, as well as an occasional course for the department of Humanities, such as Roman Empire to Early Medieval World.


Susan Pahlau

Assistant Professor of Communication

In today's technologically-driven society of social media and pop culture, it is critical for students to learn how to integrate media literacy with a Christian worldview. Susan Pahlau teaches students how to see beyond the illusions and images in mediated images and rather use media as a positive tool to communicate God's message of hope to those in need.


Sosamma Samuel-Burnett

Affiliate Faculty - Global Studies

Sosamma Samuel-Burnett, is founder and president of G.L.O.B.A.L Justice, a nonprofit organization that informs, impacts, and inspires the generations to learn, lead, and do justice together. With 30 years of human rights advocacy experience and 15 years as a university professor, Samuel-Burnett has focused the work of G.L.O.B.A.L on serving as a resource to the community to educate on justice issues, equip students and professionals to pursue justice, promote advocacy organizations addressing injustices, and support educational institutions preparing the next generation of advocates.


Dr. Debora Scheffel

Dean and Professor of Education

Dr. Debora Scheffel was appointed Dean of the School of Education, Colorado Christian University, in September, 2013. She previously served as Dean of Research, University of the Rockies (Denver, CO), and Dean of the School of Education, Jones International University (Centennial, CO). She has held a tenured professorship at the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley, CO), and served as Director of Competitive Grants and Awards and Literacy Grants and Initiatives at the Colorado Department of Education, as well as Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Education in Colorado, in Literacy. She has an extensive background in assessment, serving as Director of Academic Assessment at two universities, and has been a visiting scholar at the United States Air Force Academy in assessment.
