Planning Your Weekend: Important Information for Families and Guests

Guests

We’re excited to be celebrating the graduation of more CCU students than ever before. To safely accommodate all graduates and their guests, tickets are required for entry to the commencement ceremony.

Important Notes:

  • Commencement is not open to the public.
  • Only the degree candidate can request guest tickets.
  • A guest ticket is required for entry. No exceptions can be made.
  • Graduates must register to participate in commencement through Marching Order to enter.
  • Tickets are issued free of charge. Under no circumstance should an exchange of money occur for tickets.
  • Graduates and their guests are encouraged to print out their tickets to facilitate faster scanning and admission to the commencement venue.

Arrival

Please plan to arrive well in advance of the event due to traffic and parking considerations, the walk to the facility, and security screening upon arrival. Doors to the church will open one hour prior to the beginning of each ceremony. Seats that are being saved for late arriving guests must be released 15 minutes prior to each ceremony in order to accommodate other guests who are present and waiting for a seat. Please be sure to communicate this to all family and friends who will be attending the Commencement ceremony.

Venue

The Commencement Ceremony will be held at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Guests will pass through a security screening upon entrance to the facility.

Parking

Guests should enter from Grace Boulevard and park in the main parking lot. We encourage guests to drop off the graduate at the grad drop-off area. Please review the map of the building and parking lot.

Accessibility for Guests

In order to assure that you and your guests have a more enjoyable day, please be sure to consider the busyness of the day's activities. Seats will be reserved for hearing impaired guests who wish to sit in close proximity to the interpreter. Guests with any physical, auditory, or visual disabilities should arrive early in order to ensure they have time to find seats with their family members in an area that will best meet their needs. For guests unable to attend the ceremony in person, the ceremony will be available to watch live online. Visit the Commencement Live Stream on the day of the ceremony to watch the streaming video.
