CAGS students at Commencement
If I was a millionaire, I would donate half of my income to CCU. My education at CCU was the most impactful experience in my life besides my walk with the Lord.

Help equip our faculty to have high impact, online student learners.

Most courses and degrees in CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS) are online. In CAGS, we believe that the learning experience online can be as rich as face-to-face courses. With this in mind, CAGS support will equip faculty to develop best teaching practices for online students. These plans provide opportunities to continue faculty development opportunities that foster rich online learning environments.

  • Online Learning Professional Development: The College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS) offers faculty development that enables full-time and affiliate faculty to improve their understanding and skills in online teaching. Our faculty are content experts in their field of study, and our training ensures they are also experts in online education. Funds would be used to provide faculty materials that expand their understanding of best practices in online teaching and learning. Fundraising Goal: $16,000.
  • Online Learning Symposium: CAGS faculty development offers periodic virtual training that focuses on new and noteworthy changes to policies and procedures. Our faculty are content experts in their fields of study, and our training ensures they are also experts in online teaching. A virtual Symposium model for our CAGS students is essential for continued development. These virtual events will allow faculty and students to deepen their knowledge and interact with real-world industry experts and professionals. CAGS would use funds to host a virtual event with a world-class presenter focused on topics relevant to both learner and teacher. Fundraising Goal: $12,000.
  • Excellence in Virtual Teaching and Learning – Certificate Program: CAGS faculty development offers virtual training that focuses on using technologies in the online classroom. CCU will adopt a certificate program to support our CAGS faculty with a series of for-credit courses designed to elevate their ability to provide a world-class learning environment for adult learners. Faculty will learn how to master the online education platform and other tools available to them: discussion boards, assignment feedback, project collaboration, video lectures, and a deeper understanding of how adults learn. Our goal is to make the certificate program available to the general public, thus advancing CCU as a leader in online teaching around the globe. Fundraising Goal: $30,000.
