CCU Receives Grant from Daniels Fund

Colorado Christian University's School of Adult and Graduate Studies has received a $50,000 grant from the Daniels Fund. The grant will create scholarships for non-traditional adult students who may not otherwise be able to afford a college education. Targeted scholarship recipients will be adults who are first in their families to attend college and/or adults who are underemployed or unemployed.

"Students who are the least likely to pursue a college education are the ones that we target," said Hank Brown, outgoing president and CEO of the Daniels Fund. "The Daniels Opportunity Award initiative is intended to give a boost to students of all ages and at all levels of society seeking to secure the economic and social benefits of a college education," he added.

The Daniels Fund was established to assist as many promising students as possible in achieving the dream of a college education. Rather than exclusively rewarding academic performance, the program seeks out candidates in financial need who demonstrate leadership potential, strength of character, maturity, a well-rounded personality, and a commitment to the community.
