CCU Named a Best Christian Workplace

Employee Survey Results Show Healthy Workplace and High Engagement

Colorado Christian University (CCU), the flagship Christian liberal arts university in the Rocky Mountain region, was named one of the Certified Best Christian Workplaces of 2021 by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI).

CCU conducted its own employee survey for over a decade, with high overall satisfaction ratings. This year marked the University's first participation in the BCWI survey. "We are honored to receive this certification from the Best Christian Workplaces Institute. It highlights the healthy and flourishing workplace CCU employees enjoy and have helped to cultivate over many years," said Rick Garris, assistant vice president of Human Resources at CCU. "Our faculty, staff, and administration are committed to our mission and work diligently to provide an excellent learning environment for our students."

The recognition is based on employee survey results evaluated by BCWI's FLOURISH Model: fantastic teams, life-giving work, outstanding talent, uplifting growth, rewarding compensation, inspirational leadership, sustainable strategy, and healthy communication. Honored organizations met the certification standard by receiving exemplary ratings from surveyed employees.

"As a Best Christian Workplace, you join hundreds of ministry organizations, churches and faith-based companies in the U.S., Canada, and around the world — Christian-led workplaces now setting the standard as the best, most effective places to work in the world," stated Al Lopus, CEO of Best Christian Workplaces Institute in a letter to Colorado Christian University.

Since 2002, over 300,000 employees from more than 1,000 faith-based organizations across the globe have completed the BCWI Employee Engagement Survey to determine the health of their workplace cultures.

Employees of CCU live out the University's mission of "Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth." Faculty and staff members are committed to integrating a faith-based academic model that positively impacts the culture and advances CCU's strategic priorities. To learn more, visit ccu.edu/jobs.
