CCU Named A Best Christian Workplace Two Years in a Row

For the second year in a row, Colorado Christian University (CCU), the flagship Christian liberal arts university in the Rocky Mountain region, was named one of the Certified Best Christian Workplaces by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI).

"We are thrilled to once again receive this honor from the Best Christian Workplaces Institute. This designation recognizes the healthy culture and environment our leaders and employees have worked diligently to create," said Rick Garris, assistant vice president of Human Resources at CCU. "Even in a post-COVID environment, our team at CCU has banded together to overcome challenges from the pandemic and continue providing an exceptional learning environment for our students."

The nomination is contingent on employee survey results evaluated by BCWI's "FLOURISH Model": fantastic teams, life-giving work, outstanding talent, uplifting growth, rewarding compensation, inspirational leadership, sustainable strategy, and healthy communication. Certified organizations fulfilled the requirements by receiving exemplary ratings from their employees.

"Your excellent survey results make it clear that you value strong employee engagement and desire a flourishing workplace culture. Best Christian Workplaces Institute supports and applauds you as you lead in the name of Christ — serving both your employees and those who your ministry impacts," said Al Lopus, CEO of BCWI in a letter to Colorado Christian University. "We know that strong servant-leadership is an ongoing process that requires dedication and perseverance."

In its 20 years, the BCWI Employee Engagement Survey has accepted ratings from more than 300,000 employees across 1,000 global faith-based organizations to assess the condition of workplace cultures.

Faculty and staff at CCU embody the University's mission of "Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth." CCU employees are dedicated to implementing a Christ-centered academic model that abides by CCU's Strategic Priorities and engages the world in transformative ways.
