Biography and Professional Achievements

Before coming to CCU in 2021, Dr. Beth Robinson served in a variety of academic roles at Lubbock Christian University where she served as director of Graduate Studies, chair of Behavioral Sciences, and assistant provost. She taught in both undergraduate and graduate programs with in-seat students and online students. Dr. Robinson has also worked as an affiliate faculty member at Harding University, Texas Tech University, and Liberty University.

In addition to her academic work, Dr. Robinson brings more than 35 years of experience working with kids. When in a counseling session, she'll be listening to the story of a traumatized child at the Texas Girls and Boys Ranch or explaining the process of foster care or adoption to an anxious parent. Occasionally you will find Dr. Robinson on the witness stand providing an expert opinion about a traumatized child. Every chance Dr. Robinson gets to leave the country, you will find her working in an orphanage and training caregivers how to work with traumatized children.

Dr. Robinson doesn't like boredom. She loves children and has committed her time and energy to make sure they stay safe. She has written several books and articles and presented at state, regional, and national conferences. She loves having the chance to teach others through her writing and her presentations. Teaching is Dr. Robinson's passion and she loves being able to teach at CCU.
