Biography and Professional Achievements

Dr. Deborah Bobst worked as a nurse in a variety of specialty settings for over 20 years. Her favorite nursing position was working as a team member on the Critical Care Transport Team at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She transitioned into leadership roles and worked as the director over 11 specialty departments at Loma Linda University Medical and Children's Hospital and later as a director over two 38-bed Direct Observation Units at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Bobst has a passion for patients and patient care outcomes. Her focus changed from working in the hospital setting to an academic setting to developing nurses with a Christian influence in a Christian higher education education setting. Dr. Bobst taught in the BSN, RN-BSN, MSN, and DNP programs at California Baptist University (CBU).

Dr. Bobst is working as Associate Professor and Assistant Director for the RN-BSN program at Colorado Christian University. She is located at CCU's Grand Junction campus on the Western Slope of Colorado.

Dr. Bobst enjoys gardening, quilting, and a variety of crafts. Her latest craft obsession is working with raw fiber she dyes and uses to spin yarn or incorporate in a weaving.
