Fisher was the recipient of the 2009 Teacher of the Year award in Spring I.S.D. and the 2009 Teacher of the year for the Spring I.S.D. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Kym since 1993. They have three kids, Brittani, Nicholas, and Sydnee.
