John has been married to his wife Stephanie for 40 years and they are blessed with two children and three grandchildren.

John has also served as a technical trainer, instructional designer, and change management consultant for multi-national Fortune 100 companies.

My mission is to seek first to listen and understand before I speak. I want to seek the truth and have the humility to allow God to guide my path, share His Word, wisdom, and all knowledge (John 15:15) with students and peers. Also I seek to be a life-long learner, optimize personal and professional performance, and to help build spirits, not crush them.

It is my great honor and pleasure to represent CCU as a full-time faculty member. I integrate CCU’s strategic objectives in every aspect of my life, from teaching online and in the classroom, to leading on the elder board at Cornerstone Church. I also serve the broader community and at home. And, although I have been a Christian my entire life, (I was baptized, confirmed, born again, participated in Campus Crusade/Athletes in Action in college, etc.), I did not really understand what it meant to have a "personal relationship" with our Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua until I began this season of teaching and servant leadership at CCU (2007). CCU is truly a Christ-centered, transformational experience for both students and faculty. While God has always been an important part of my life, I can now say confidently, He is my Life.
