I have been a professor in CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies since 2005 teaching more than 150 classes in both our adult undergraduate program and our Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program. While teaching undergraduate classes, I was always blessed by the fortitude of our students, their resilience, and their passion for improving their lives and their families’ lives. It was my pleasure to be a support to each and every one of them.

In 2012, I became an instructor exclusively in the M.A. Counseling program. Again, the students are the reason I am so passionate about teaching. The students' growth that is evident from the first to the last class is amazing and I am privileged to be a witness to the development of new professionals who are prepared to step into the counseling field.

Currently, I am also the M.A. Counseling Online Program Coordinator working with staff throughout CCU to develop and launch the inaugural exclusively online MAC cohort in the fall of 2014. This is a step of faith as we develop and forge systems, programs, courses, and technology to accommodate this new experience which can reach students virtually all over the world. It is exciting to see the program come together following the excellent research and development by Dr. Candace McLain, the MAC Program Director.

In addition to teaching, it has been my pleasure to be a presenter or co-presenter at several annual conferences, including: the American Counseling Association, Colorado Counseling Association, Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the Rocky Mountain Association for Counselor Education and Supervision from 2012 through the present.
