Biography and Professional Achievements

Dr. Kateryna Kuzubova is a full-time professor at CCU's Lakewood campus. She is a licensed professional counselor in the states of Massachusetts and Colorado. Kuzubova has worked in the field of mental health for the past nine years with experience in the areas of addiction counseling, providing therapy to children, adolescents, couples and families, and adults with various issues and backgrounds.

For five years, Kuzubova taught and mentored students at both secular and Christian CACREP-accredited counseling programs. Additionally, she has served on a president-appointed task force on diversity, equity, and inclusion at a private school in Massachusetts, and has been a panelist speaker for the Mockler Center for Faith and Ethics in the Public Square, in South Hamilton, MA. She holds memberships in the American Counselor Association and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and she maintains an active schedule of presenting at state and regional conferences.

Kuzubova is interested in the prevention of and early intervention into substance use, depression, and other high-risk behaviors among adolescents, forgiveness in teens, and cross-cultural and international research and training in counseling techniques, theories, and practice as it relates to prevention and intervention.

Kuzubova's Ukrainian heritage and her own experiences as an international scholar fuel her passion to serve a Slavic community in the States and to come alongside students to achieve their own goals in the field of counseling. As one with personal experience studying abroad, she is especially passionate about providing support to international students as they navigate education and career in a foreign land.
