Prior to joining Colorado Christian University, I taught Psychology and/or Counseling at two other institutions. This teaching background helped prepare me to lead the national accreditation application process for CCU’s Masters of Counseling (MAC) program. Our CACREP accreditation was received in 2011, and it has helped raise standards of excellence for our program and dramatically increased student enrollment. As a result, we have had to add several full-time faculty members to support the Counseling program, and all of them are involved in professional writing, presentations and providing leadership in professional counseling organizations.
In addition to supervising CCU's Counseling master's degree program, I also supervise adult undergraduate programs in Communication Studies, Criminal Justice, Psychology, and General Education. The undergraduate programs – which include options for associate and bachelor degrees, certificates, and minors – were developed and/or revised during the last five years. Enrollment in these programs has grown exponentially, and their quality continues to be improved through attention to curriculum and faculty development.
