Biography and Professional Achievements
Dr. Pamela Cassellius began teaching as an affiliate faculty for CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies in 2013. Since that time she has enjoyed gaining experience working with both undergraduate and graduate-level students. She joined the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program full time in July 2015, and is loving it.
Her clinical experience includes being a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice settings (in both Colorado and North Carolina), Crisis Response Clinician, and a counselor within a school setting. Cassellius has worked alongside children, adolescents, women, men, couples and families dealing with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, trauma, and substance abuse.
Cassellius has a special interest in making sure that students who graduate with their master's degree in counseling are prepared for embarking on their post-graduate/pre-licensed supervision experiences. Thus, her dissertation research focused on assessing pre-licensed counselors' beliefs, knowledge, and experiences related to how prepared they were for selecting and engaging in their post-graduate supervision experiences. In addition to teaching and clinical work, she has enjoyed the opportunity of being a presenter or co-presenter at various annual conferences.
