Biography and Professional Achievements

Rick Garris has over 30 years of experience in human resource management with for profit, non-profit, and education organizations. His experience in human resources encompasses: employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and talent acquisition. He has been teaching human resource-related classes within higher ed since 1992. In addition to his experience, he has his master's degree in human resource management and holds certification as a senior professional.

He is married to Donita with two children (Josh and Donette) and two grandchildren. He enjoys outdoor sports and living in Colorado.

CCU has access to bring in the work of people like Os Guinness, Jim Daly, Billy Graham, and many others. There are also many parachurch organizations who support many of our Strategic Priorities. For instance, Focus on the Family and Compassion International. The resources CCU has at their disposal to connect with students and share a traditional evangelical worldview is enormous.
