Biography and Professional Achievements
Dr. Rebecca Taylor started her profession working in the acute mental health hospital and an intensive outpatient center for women struggling with eating disorders. She later went on to open and run a residential eating disorder center. While directing the residential counseling center, Taylor achieved her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision in-order to educate and supervise future counselors in evidence-based treatment practices.
She began working for CCU in 2016 and still loves engaging with their in-seat and online students to promote the integration of their personal, spiritual, and professional counseling identity. While at CCU, Taylor aided in the development and implementation of the Community Counseling Center At Colorado Christian University in Colorado Springs. She has a private practice in Colorado Springs where her and her business partner contract to serve First Responders and supervise a non-profit agency aiding in the counseling of underprivileged women and children. She continues to work with the eating disorder population while carrying a small case load and supervision load of past alumni counseling students.
Her husband became an ordained pastor in a PCA church in Colorado Springs back in October 2020, and her two children are learning to grow and thrive in the beautiful and colorful Colorado.
