Trustee Spotlight

Robert E. Warren Jr. is currently engaged in developing Belleview Station, along with other members of his family. Belleview Station is an urban, mixed-use, transit-oriented development located at I-25 and East Belleview Avenue. Prior to retiring from the practice of law, Warren was a partner for 25 years with the law firm of Gorsuch and Kirgis and thereafter with Pfeiffer and Warren concentrating on corporate litigation, sports law, and municipal law. He was designated the city attorney for Lakewood, Colorado, for approximately seven years while at the Gorsuch firm. He also owned Poudre Sales Corp., a Coors beer distributorship in northern Colorado.

Warren earned a bachelor of science degree from Southern Methodist University in 1964 and a juris doctor degree from the University of Colorado in 1967. 

Warren has been committed to the cause of higher education for many years as a previous trustee of Southern Methodist University, president of the SMU Alumni Association, and a former member of the board of The International Institute of Education and the Denver World Affairs Council. He has also served as a trustee of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 30 years, founded the Trinity Second Century Foundation and for many years was a board member of Denver Urban Youth Ministries. 

Warren and his wife, Gay, have two adult children and two granddaughters. Gay is an artist and is active in many art organizations. Both are current members of the Trinity United Methodist Church in downtown Denver and Bob is a member of the Wesleyan Covenant Association. His primary pastime is golf. He has served as legal counsel and board member for the Colorado Golf Association (10 years) and Cherry Hills Country Club (25 years) and was vice chairman of the International Golf Tournament at Castle Pines.
