Meet Marcy

Your college years can be one of the most formative times of your life. As someone who transferred throughout undergrad myself, I want to provide a safe space for all students to discover more of who God created them to be and to empower them to reach their goals. I am so honored to be a part of the CCU community, and I look forward to helping you discover where God is leading you next!

CCU Role: Serves all transfer students interested in attending CCU

Hometown: Denver, Colorado

Education: B.A. Human Development and Family Studies (Metro State University of Denver) M.A. Teaching (Metro State University of Denver)

Favorite Verse: “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

Hobbies: Spending time with my people is very important to me whether that be through traveling to new places with my husband, playing pickle ball, or rollerblading at our favorite parks. I also am always down for a walk to our local coffee shop with a favorite book in hand.

Before I came to CCU: I was a special education teacher for six years. I loved the opportunity to pour into students' lives and help them grow in confidence in who God created them to be. I found such joy in teaching that it led me to pursue my master’s degree in education with an emphasis in special education. During my early college years, I transferred schools and spent a lot of time trying to figure out who I was and what God had in store for me. Through this experience, it inspired me to pursue a career at CCU where I could use my personal experiences to walk alongside college students and help them discover the next chapter that the Lord was calling them into. I am so honored that I now have the opportunity to help students find a place to belong at CCU and to grow in a thriving relationship with Jesus.
