Meet Sarah
Finding the right University can feel like a daunting task. I’m here to help you navigate this wild but exciting time in your life! God’s hand was so evident in my own college journey, now I want to help you in yours. I always love to share the reasons why CCU is such a special place, and I can’t wait to share those reasons with you!
Hometown: Glendora, California
Education: B.A. Political Science and Humanities (Azusa Pacific University)
Favorite verse: "[For] all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." — Romans 3:23-24 (NIV)
Hobbies: I love a good book, but when I am not reading, you can find me hiking, singing along to almost any kind of music, traveling to some new adventurous place, or exercising my amateur photography skills.
Before I came to CCU: I was completing my undergraduate degree at APU and loving every minute I spent in classes and on the university’s speech and debate team. It was during my time on the team, more specifically, a tournament sponsored by the American Enterprise Institute that first brought me to CCU. I was so impressed by the students and faculty that I met on campus, and my short visit made a lasting impression. After graduating from APU, traveling abroad, and finding immense fulfillment leading a small group for sixth-grade girls at my local church, I felt God was calling me out of Southern California, the only place I had ever called home. After lots of prayers and the guidance of some good friends, I decided to apply to CCU—the school that had left such a strong impression a few years before—and I became an enrollment counselor at the University shortly thereafter. I am so thankful that God led me to this place, to a school that has so much to offer its students. I am grateful to be able to help prospective students enroll at CCU.
