Student Eligibility Requirements

  1. Complete your application to Colorado Christian University's College of Undergraduate Studies (including all supplemental items) by December 20, 2020 in order to be admitted to the university by the January 1, 2021 deadline.
  2. Be eligible to receive our Distinguished Achievement Scholarship or Trustees' Scholarship. Recipients typically have a at least a 3.8 GPA and an ACT score of 28, or SAT composite score of 1320. If test scores are not submitted, the required GPA range is 3.8 - 4.0. See our COVID-19 test-optional policy for the 2021-22 academic year.

Selection of Scholarship Recipients

Selection of the three full-tuition scholarship winners will be based on rankings within these criteria:

Professional Portfolio

Your portfolio must include the following items. Please be sure to include your FIRST and LAST name on all documents.

  1. Résumé
  2. Two academic recommendation letters
  3. Scholarship essay response: Aurelius Augustine (St. Augustine of Hippo) wrote, "For if we love by faith that which as yet we see not, how much more shall we love it when we begin to see! And if we love by hope that which as yet we have not reached, how much more shall we love it when we reach it!" ( On Christian Teaching, ch. 38). Augustine taught that education has everything to do with one's faith. For him, the goal of education is the contemplation of the beauty of God — through the cross. But for true learning, he says, we must also love: love God, one's neighbor, truth, goodness, beauty.

Prompt: Write an essay in which you articulate how the attribute of love is directly connected to your learning, your education. Keep your essay organized and around a strong, unique thesis, with specific, lively development. You may provide examples of your own love or of others' love — perhaps love for a discipline, for a particular topic, for a teacher or student, for a particular writer or speaker, or for God.
  4. It is strongly suggested that students include up to three supplemental items, including videos, photos, or newspaper articles that detail your honors, awards, and accomplishments, and/or any other supporting materials which detail why you should be considered a world changer.
Professional Interview

During the World Changers competition, each contestant will be interviewed by members of CCU's faculty, who will take into consideration the student’s potential to continue to impact the world and how well the student can articulate the role faith has had in his/her experiences.

Submit Your Professional Portfolio

ALL portfolio materials noted above must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on January 10, 2021.
