Certificate in Conducting

The Certificate in Conducting allows students to pursue the advanced study of conducting for a variety of music ensembles, including choral and instrumental. As part of the curriculum, students will have the opportunity to conduct two full performances with a music ensemble. This program provides the necessary skills for a student to pursue a career in any area of the music industry including, music education, music composition, and musical performance.

Students who are interested in the Certificate in Conducting must first be admitted to CCU's College of Undergraduate Studies as a music major. After completing year two as a music major, students can apply for admission to the Conducting Certificate program through the School of Music.

The Certificate in Conducting offered by the CCU School of Music presents students with unique opportunities very few other programs offer. Colorado Christian University provides students with hours of experience in rehearsals and conducting performances for choral and instrumental ensembles. At CCU, students engage in the advanced study of music within a Christian environment, allowing them to apply their faith to their musical performances.
