The Economics minor at Colorado Christian University prepares students to think critically and analytically, while being able to make decisions by becoming grounded in the principles of sound economic reasoning. You will develop sharpened analytical and quantitative skills needed to understand the market and non-market forces that shape the behavior of society. At the same time, you will also gain an understanding of the economic relationships, market forces, and business decisions that influence the economic order on global, national, and local levels.

Simply put, to properly understand economics, you must begin with a proper understanding of man. The Genesis account of creation tells us that from the beginning, humanity was created to work. Within this framework, you'll be encouraged to consider how your Christian faith informs your perspectives and influences your choices as a steward of the resources in God's creation.
In addition, you'll be able to further explore how a Christian view of economics effects labor concerns, financial markets, environmental economics, urban and regional economies, and international trade. You'll also be able to apply economic analysis to a wide range of social and economic issues, and will have an excellent background for further graduate study in economics, business administration, or law.
