CCU Augustine Honors Program

As a top scholarship recipient at Colorado Christian University, we’re excited to invite you to join CCU’s Augustine Honors Program — a community of scholars exploring the works of leading thinkers from antiquity to the present.

Dig deeper and experience the philosophical and theological pulse of Western civilization through community-oriented discussion and unique educational experiences. This 36-seat, competitive-admission minor or emphasis explores the great books of the past through an unapologetically Protestant and principally conservative approach. Scholars will explore the works of Saint Augustine, Plato, Dostoevsky, C.S. Lewis, and more.

For priority consideration, you may choose one of the following options:

  1. Register for and attend CCU's World Changers Scholarship Competition (January 18-19, 2024). Be sure to signify your interest in the Augustine Honors Program on your event registration form. Qualifiers will be evaluated based on their World Changers' portfolios and interview responses.
  2. If you cannot attend the World Changers Scholarship Competition, you may submit as essay or video response online for evaluation via the form below. Submissions are accepted until the beginning of the new academic year in August, but are evaluated on a first come first consideration basis.

The University will continue to accept applications, evaluate candidates and offer invitations throughout the spring semester while seats in the upcoming cohort are available. If you have questions about the program, please contact Dr. Steve Shumaker.
