Do you remember a teacher who made a major impact on your life? Offered through the School of Education, CCU's education programs are designed to help you become a teacher that will impact the next generation of learners. If you are interested in teaching middle or high school students, CCU's Secondary Education program will provide you with both rigorous academic coursework and practical student teaching experience so that by the time you graduate, you will be ready to handle your own classroom.

Secondary Education students receive over 800 hours of field experience that begin during your first year at CCU. Our professors have extensive teaching experience as well as connections with the local education community, ensuring excellent student teaching placement. Through small class size and a supportive advising process, faculty members build mentoring relationships with you, helping to transform you into an effective educator.

Upon graduation, you will receive a bachelor's degree in the subject area you desire to teach and will leave CCU prepared for Secondary Education Licensure in Colorado. If you wish to teach in another state or country, you may pursue a second license for this purpose.
