    Planning Your Weekend and Preparing for Commencement

    Families and Guests: Commencement is an exciting milestone and there’s a lot to remember. Make sure you review the Things to Remember section of this website so you will know what to expect.


    Though no tickets are issued for the ceremony, please invite a reasonable number of guests. Doors to the 1STBANK Center will open for guest seating at 9:00 a.m. In order to better enjoy the morning, plan ahead and be early. Be sure to communicate this to all family and friends who will be attending the Commencement ceremony.

    Watch Online

    The Commencement ceremony will be available to watch live online beginning at 9:45 AM on Saturday, May 7. Visit the Commencement Live Stream the day of the ceremony to watch the streaming video.


    • The Commencement ceremony starts at 10:00 a.m. and will last until approximately 12:15 p.m. (Graduates should arrive between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m.).
    • Allow plenty of time for parking prior to the ceremony and for exiting the parking lot afterwards.
    • Make your celebration plans or reservations no earlier than 1:00 p.m.
    • Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for this special occasion.
    • Leave your valuables with your guests or at home. There is no available space to store purses or other items during the ceremony. CCU is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
    • During the ceremony, guests may only take pictures from their seat in order to preserve the dignity of the ceremony.

    Commencement 2016 Speaker

    Colorado Christian University is honored to host Robert P. George, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, where he lectures on constitutional interpretation, civil liberties and philosophy of law and serves as director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions.
