CCU Honors Class of 2024

Colorado Christian University (CCU) honored 1,453 graduates during the University’s 109th commencement Friday, May 10, 2024, at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, Colo.

Jon Poag Named CCU Athletics Director

Colorado Christian University is excited to announce Jon Poag as the new athletics director beginning July 1, 2024. Poag has served as the head cross country and track and field coach for the men’s and women’s teams since 2015 and as the assistant athletics director for facilities since 2023. He succeeds Brian Wall who will be retiring after more than seven years overseeing one of the most successful periods in Cougar Athletics.

Scherling, VP of Academic Affairs, Announces Retirement

Dr. Sarah Scherling, vice president of Academic Affairs for Colorado Christian University’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies, has announced her retirement effective June 30, marking the end of more than 25 years of service at the university.

CCU Professor Awarded Grant to Study Intersection of STEM and Worship

Dr. Cory Hixson, associate professor of engineering at Colorado Christian University, has been awarded a $25,000 Vital Worship, Vital Preaching Grant to advance the exploration of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) professional practice as components of Christian worship.
