The Lee Strobel Center

The Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics at Colorado Christian University seeks to equip Christians, ministry leaders, and churches to effectively share the grace of God and his divinity, and confidently defend the truth of the gospel, in order to reach our world for Christ.

The Strobel Center offers bachelor's and master's degrees in Applied Apologetics as well as non-academic credit bearing continuing education courses and certificates. The programs are available 100 percent online and focus on apologetics — the study of defending the Christian faith through intellectual means.

Bachelor's Degrees

The B.A. in Applied Apologetics seeks to improve students' understanding and expression of the essential doctrines and evidence for the Christian faith.

Master's Degrees

The M.A. in Applied Apologetics equips students who already have a theological background to advance their skills and abilities to share God's truth.

Continuing Ed Courses

The online, self-guided, non-credit continuing education courses in Apologetics are designed to equip individuals to effectively share and defend the gospel.

Applied in Approach. Students are trained to be practitioners and defenders of the faith. The ultimate goal is for graduates to deploy their knowledge and training in a manner that is at once competent, confident, grace-filled, and committed to the ideals of kingdom advancement.

Excellent in Academic Quality. The Center's leadership, faculty, subject matter experts, designers, and editors are committed to both classical and cutting-edge teaching methods. Who is the next Billy Graham? It is millions of contagious Christians who are trained, equipped, and deployed! We have a vision to fulfill this mission as quickly as possible!

-Lee Strobel, Founding Director

What is apologetics? Derived from the Greek word apologia, apologetics is the religious discipline of defending religious doctrines through systematic argumentation and discourse. Early Christian writers who defended their beliefs against critics and recommended their faith to outsiders were called Christian apologists.

Apologetics proved to be the turning point of my life and eternity.
-Lee Strobel, Founding Director

We want to equip, mentor, and deploy leaders who will creatively and effectively partner with pastors to reach everyone with the gospel.

Colorado Christian University has a century-old legacy of serving students who desire a challenging, Christ-centered education. What began as a one-room school in 1914 has become the premier interdenominational Christian university in the eight-state Rocky Mountain region. More than 9,000 students attend classes at the University's main campus in Lakewood, Colorado, in regional centers throughout the state, and online.

CCU offers more than 200 degrees and academic programs for traditional and adult students through its College of Undergraduate Studies and College of Adult and Graduate Studies.

COLORADO. Because of our unique location between Denver and the Rocky Mountains, we offer the best of both worlds and countless opportunities for our students to seek adventure.

CHRISTIAN. CCU is first and foremost a community of committed Christian believers who are rooted in a deep respect for higher education, centered on a Christian worldview. For us, the Bible — both the New Testament and the Old Testament — offers a sure foundation for sound thinking, holy living, and effective service. These pillars are apparent and upheld in all of CCU's apologetics classes.

UNIVERSITY. CCU is a university of the liberal arts and professions. We emphasize excellence in our academic programs while encouraging our students in the relentless pursuit of truth and the development of the mind and heart.
