  • Message from President Hogue on the Texas Floods

While our nation celebrated Independence Day and many enjoyed the blessings of summer, our brothers and sisters in Texas were struck by unimaginable tragedy. Torrential flooding swept through communities — devastating homes, displacing families, and claiming lives, including the heartbreaking loss of many young girls attending a Christian summer camp. We are heartsick at Colorado Christian University as we witness this unfolding crisis. Words feel insufficient in the face of such sorrow. Yet Scripture reminds us that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).
