Meet Christen

Transferring to CCU in my junior year was the most transformative experience of my life. Both spiritually and academically, I was able to reach new heights. Considering college is such an impactful time in student’s lives, it is important to have the right support and guidance for making this decision. My experience was formed by the faith-based leadership and discipleship embedded in the culture, classroom, and student life here at CCU. My hope is to help students map out the experience they are looking for to better navigate their college decision!

Hometown: Olathe, KS

Education: B.A. Psychology (Colorado Christian University)

Favorite verse: “Jesus wept.” – John 11:35

Hobbies: I am a huge basketball fan. I played at CCU on the women’s team, so I love to play it, watch it, and coach it. I like to spend time with friends, watch movies, hammock, and spend time with the Lord. A good insightful conversation can make my day, anytime!

Before I came to CCU: Before I came to CCU… I came to CCU as a transfer student and really enjoyed all three years at CCU. I was on the women’s basketball team, lived on campus, participated in the Tessellations Club, and became a Graduate Assistant for Events. I met two of my very best friends in those years, as well. My favorite part of CCU was feeling almost automatically plugged into a community with staff and faculty who truly wanted me to succeed. I also spent time coaching an 8th-grade basketball club team before becoming a full-time staff member at CCU.
